How to Delete Photos or Videos on an iPhone or iPad

If your Apple iPhone or iPad has run out of room for apps or documents, the fastest way to reclaim storage space is by deleting unneeded photos or videos. Here’s how to do it. Before we get started, you should know that deleting a photo or video from your iPhone or iPad’s local storage will also delete it from iCloud Photos. So make sure that you’ve backed up your media files (using Mac or PC) before you delete them from your device.

RELATED: HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY APPLE REMOVE THE HOME BUTTON ?

To get started, open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. You can use the “Library” tab or the “Albums” tab to explore the photos or videos stored on your device.

To see all photos or videos (with the latest photos first), tap the “Albums” tab, and then choose the “Recents” album.
If you want to delete a single photo or video, tap the thumbnail to open the image.
Tap the Delete button (It looks like a trashcan.) in the bottom-right corner.
In the pop-up, tap the “Delete Photo” or “Delete Video” option to confirm.
To select multiple photos or videos to delete, tap the “Select” button at the top of the screen.
Then, select the photos or videos that you want to delete by tapping the thumbnail previews. You can swipe from left to right or from top to bottom to select multiple photos quickly.
Once you’re done, tap the Delete button (It looks like a trash can.) at the bottom of the screen.
In the confirmation dialog that appears, tap the “Delete Photos” or “Delete Videos” option to confirm
The photos will disappear from the photo library. But they won’t be completely deleted just yet.

How to Permanently Delete Photos or Videos from iPhone and iPad

As a safety measure, your iPhone or iPad doesn’t actually delete the photos or videos from your device. Instead, it adds the media files to a “Recently Deleted” album and keeps them there for 30 days. After 30 days, the images are deleted automatically. This gives you a 30-day window to restore any accidentally deleted photos and videos. If you’re sure that you won’t be needing these photos or videos (or you have a backup of your photo library), you can permanently delete all pending photos with just a tap. Open the Photos app, tap the “Albums” tab, scroll down, and choose the “Recently Deleted” album.
You’ll see all the deleted photos and videos here. Tap the “Select” button in the top toolbar.
In the bottom toolbar, tap the “Delete All” button.
If you’re absolutely sure that you want to permanently delete these photos or videos (This action can’t be undone.), tap the “Delete Photos” or “Delete Videos” option in the confirmation dialog.
And that’s it—bye-bye photos! The photos or videos will be deleted from your local storage, and you’ll be able to reclaim the storage space. To check how much storage space is left on your iPhone or iPad, visit the Settings app. Good luck!

What damages Solid State Drive SSD

Deleting information from a hard drive doesn’t actually erase it. When you delete a file, the file is still there. You’ve merely removed it from the disk directory—the system that tracks all the files and where they’re located—and marked the space the file occupies as free for use.
What damages an SSD is writing information to it. Every time you record information to an SSD, you damage it. The memory cells in an SSD have a limited, and surprisingly short, life expectancy. They can only be written to a certain number of times before they stop being able to retain information. Each write wears them.
So it’s not deleting files, it’s adding files (or modifying files), that causes the damage

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY APPLE REMOVE THE HOME BUTTON

The home button doesn’t make a lot of sense to begin with. When I was introduced to the iPhone back in 2007, the very first question I asked was, “If the whole screen is touch-sensitive, why do you need a physical button?”
Things got more confusing when one of my wife’s friends enabled her iPhone’s AssistiveTouch on-screen home button, “If Apple already has a software home button built in, why keep the physical one?”
Removing the physical home button means less mechanical parts to assemble, fewer things to break, and better waterproofing. It also means you can put a larger screen on a smaller device. From a design perspective, it was bad to ever put it on the iPhone in the first place, so why did Apple do it?
The answer is usability. Back when the iPhone first came out, nobody was familiar with how to navigate a smartphone user interface, and ideas like swiping & finger gestures were new concepts to most users. The home button was an intuitive way to prevent people from getting lost & frustrated.
Later, Apple painted themselves into a corner by adding Touch ID fingerprint recognition to home button, which made it more difficult to get rid of the button when Apple decided to go to a full touchscreen on the front face.
To answer the question: Apple removed the home button because it prevented them from making a full-screen bezel-less display, and they were able to do it because users understand smartphones well enough to use the bottom-swipe as an alternative to a mechanical button.

EFFECTs OF OVER CHARGING LAPTOP BATTRY

Keeping batteries at 100 % charge places physical forces on the components inside the battery. When the battery discharges a little, the charger will top it off. All the energy required to stuff that last bit if charge in the battery makes it hot. Heat severely limits the life span of a battery.
Ellery Davies is correct. Modern battery charges behave in a way to mitigate these issues. But they can’t completely eliminate them. Simon Khoury is also correct saying that keeping the battery between 20% and 80% will significantly prolong its life. But the important question is, what is the impact of shorter battery life?
The battery in my Dell Latitude laptop is easily replaced. I guess a new battery might cost $100 or so. When the battery stops working, I’ll look at how old the computer is and what shape it’s in, and either decide to order a new battery or buy a new laptop. I’ll probably decide on the new laptop. “Babying” the battery won’t make much difference, if any.
The battery in my Microsoft Surface Go is not user replaceable. I’m not sure whether Microsoft can replace it. For me, it’s worth the money and effort to buy a timer. I know it takes 15 minutes to add 10% charge. (This “rule”, whatever it is for your computer, will change dramatically above 80% charge. It takes a lot of work to get that last 20%. The charger has to slow down so the battery doesn’t overheat.) When the battery gets low, I set the timer and plug it in. If that’s not feasible because I’m traveling or whatever, I try not to worry about it too much.

THE TELEPHONE GROWS UP

How has the telephone changed?

Cellphone mania has swept the world. All across the globe, people have
acquired the portable gift of gab, with some users making 45 or more calls a day. Phone maker Nokia estimated that there will be 2 billion mobile phone subscriptions worldwide in 2006.44 It has taken more than 100 years for the telephone to get to this point-getting smaller, acquiring push buttons, losing its cord connection. In 1964,the * and# keys were added to the keypad. The star (✻) and number sign(#) (aka hash key) signals, respectively. These keys were added to provide signals for anticipated data entry purposes in business applications, but found use in Custom Calling Services (CLASS) features installed in electronic switching systems.1973, the first cellphone call was processed. In its most basic form, the telephone is still

Indeed, internet smartphones-such as the Treo 650, Audiovox SMT 5600, Motorola E398, and LG VX8000- represent another giant step for information technology. Now you no longer need a personal computer to get on the internet. Smartphones in their various forms enable you not only to make voice calls but also to send and receive text messages, browse the World Wide Web, and obtain news, research, music, photos, movies, and TV programs. (And with camera and camcorder cellphones, you can send images, too.) According to one survey, the percentage of people who use nonvoice applications for text messages is 27%; email 11 %; internet 9%; and photography 6%-and the numbers of users for these options are growing all the time.

Teenage boy hacked into apple's network

Apple hack teen pleads guilty

August 17, 2018 9:37 AM

The boy hacked Apple because he was a fan of the firm, reports from the court case say

A teenage boy from Australia has pleaded guilty to hacking into Apple's network and downloading internal files, according to reports.

The 16-year-old accessed 90 gigabytes worth of files, breaking into the system many times over the course of a year from his suburban home in Melbourne, reports The Age newspaper.

It says he stored the documents in a folder called 'hacky hack hack'.

Apple insists that no customer data was compromised.

But The Age reports that the boy had accessed customer accounts.

In a statement to the BBC, Apple said: "We vigilantly protect our networks and have dedicated teams of information security professionals that work to detect and respond to threats.

"In this case, our teams discovered the unauthorised access, contained it, and reported the incident to law enforcement.

"We regard the data security of our users as one of our greatest responsibilities and want to assure our customers that at no point during this incident was their personal data compromised."

Well-known hacker

According to statements made in court, the smartphone giant contacted the FBI when it became aware of the intrusion, and the matter was referred to the Australian Federal Police (AFP).

An AFP raid on the boy's home revealed two laptops with serial numbers matching those of devices which had accessed the system. Police also seized a mobile phone and a hard drive.

According to The Age, the teen had boasted about his activities in WhatsApp messages. It reports that he had hacked into the firm because he was a huge fan and dreamed of working there.

His defence lawyer said that he had become very well-known in the international hacking community.

The boy's name has not been made public for legal reasons. He is due to be sentenced on 20 September.

Motorola phone imitate iPhone X brazen

Motorola phone 'brazen copy' of iPhone X

Motorola P30 and iPhone X
Spot the difference: the P30 and iPhone X

Smartphone brand Motorola has been criticised for revealing a "shameless" copy of the iPhone X as its new model.

Many phone-makers have copied the look of the iPhone X, which has a smaller bezel around the screen and a "notch" at the top that houses a camera.

However, reviewers said the new Motorola P30 was a "brazen" and "egregious" rip-off of Apple's flagship device.

Lenovo, which owns the Motorola brand, has not yet responded to the criticism.

Motorola was a pioneer in the mobile phone industry, but its sales fell in the smartphone era and its handset division was sold to Google in 2012.

The division was then sold to Chinese computer firm Lenovo in 2014, where it has continued to produce smartphones running the Android operating system.

Both phones feature a 'notch' at the top of the screen

Commenting on the similarity between the Motorola P30 and the iPhone X, technology blogger Marques Brownless call it the "most shameless rip yet".

News site Mashable said Motorola "even went so far as to adorn the screen with a wallpaper that's a dead ringer for Apple's default wallpaper".

• Android Pie: Google adds Digital Wellbeing controls

• Hands on with the new iPhone X

News and reviews site Technobuffalo said the design was an "egregious clone" that was "nearly impossible to distinguish" from the iPhone X.

Tech news site The Verge pointed out that Google's image recognition algorithms described photos of the P30 as "iPhone".

"The growing number of identikit smartphone designs is a depressing trend and it's little wonder consumer apathy is on the rise and replacement rates are slowing," said analyst Ben Wood from the CCS Insight consultancy.

"One starts to wonder whether Jony Ive's design group at Apple has become the de facto owner for the reference design for all high-end smartphones.

"Phone makers need to innovate and find ways to differentiate if they want to maintain consumer desire to upgrade their phones," he told the BBC.

On Thursday, Lenovo posted an operating profit for the first quarter - after making a loss the previous year.

Bloomberg attributed the rise to an increase in sales, but also cost-cutting measures in its mobile division.

Lenovo plans to sell the Motorola P30 in China, but has not announced its availability in other countries. The device is expected to cost about $350 (£275) - less than half the price of Apple's flagship device.

WHY DOSE MY LAPTOP HAS A FAN ERROR

Why dose my laptop have a fan error problems ?

Fan error on start up means the fan didn't  spin
up either the motor failed, or more often the grease has solidified(dry) or the bearing are in a bit of bind it doesn't spin as usual,

This is a FAQ that people had been clamoring about. In this tutorial, i will show some reasons why your laptop goes overheating  and tend to shutdown sometimes.
In most cases, dirty(cause by dusty environment) and closeness of laptop air vent towards a wall surface or any object could cause a fan error by doing overheating. Placing your laptop on a soft surface materials such as pilo, mattress, dress, etc. could lead your PC to a great harm.

How can i prevent or solve this if its already damage my PC or tend to?

Get compressed air and try to blow into vents, sometimes it is just too dirty.
You might possibly need to replace the fan. Or required  Laptop general service
